Downtown Chillicothe discusses impact of road closures for events

CHILLICOTHE — Last week Downtown Chillicothe hosted a public meeting for downtown property and business owners, event organizers and community members to discuss Downtown road closures.

Several stakeholders attended the meeting and provided positive and negatives about events and road closures in the downtown. Tiffany Baldwin, with Downtown Chillicothe, said the goal is to balance closures and events so that businesses and planners both win.

She said talks like these are an important first step in working together to understand various points of perspective and developing actionable recommendations for the City Administration and City Council to help govern road closures in the future.

Those with feedback or ideas for developing actionable recommendations can share their ideas with Baldwin at tif45601@yahoo.com. She said she looks forward to using these ideas to develop actionable recommendations for city leaders.
