Dover Area High alum, veteran raises money for school memorial
(WHTM) – For years, Dover Area High School alum and military veteran has led an effort to raise money to build a veteran’s memorial at the school.
It has taken about six years, but thanks to individual and business donations they have raised nearly $185,000.
“It’s very exciting that we’re bringing this memorial to our community of Dover,” said Brad Jacobs, Chair of the Veterans Memorial Committee. “It is a great asset to our district here, where teachers will be able to bring down students to the memorial, meet a veteran, see what it meant to that veteran to serve.”

Organizers could break ground as soon as next month and they hope to dedicate the memorial on Veterans Day.
