Double-crested cormorant rescued from Tidal Basin
WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A double-crested cormorant was rescued from the Tidal Basin this week.
The National Mall and Memorial Parks’ National Park Service (NPS) said the bird had hooks from a lure stick in both its feet and the line was caught on an outlet bridge.

NPS’ Natural Resources team was able to rescue the bird, remove the hooks and transfer it to a rehabilitation facility.
