Is Dothan’s Red Lobster among those closing?

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Dothan’s Red Lobster is not among the nearly 50 locations abruptly closing Monday.

On Monday, Red Lobster and TAGeX Brands released a list of all locations that would shut their doors and auction off their equipment and furniture.

The list did not include Dothan’s Red Lobster.

Only two of the forty-eight restaurants closing are in Alabama: Auburn and Decatur. This leaves eight locations in Alabama. The states with the most closures are Florida and California.

The auction includes items from high-performance kitchen equipment to dining room furniture. Items in the shuttered restaurants will not be sold separately; each location will have one winning bidder who will take home the building’s contents.

In April, several national news outlets reported the seafood chain had considered filing for bankruptcy.
