UPDATE: Couple wanted in Dothan murder captured in Eufaula

UPDATE:

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – A couple wanted for the murder of a Houston County man were arrested over the weekend.

33-year-old Courtney Ingram and 31-year-old Richard Bishop Jr. were taken into custody Saturday night by Eufaula Police.

Following their arrest, Ingram and Bishop Jr. were taken to the Dothan Police Department. They are both charged with Murder for the death of Patrick Parrish.

“He was my brother,” Parrish’s sister, Tina Parrish Price, said. “He is going to be missed daily.”

According to Dothan Police Lt. Scott Owens, Parrish’s body was found under his house in the 1300 block of Coe Dairy Road after officers conducted a welfare check on May 8.

“The positioning of the body was indicative of foul play, and investigators were called to the scene,” said Lt. Owens in a release to WDHN.

Parrish’s family says they hadn’t heard from him since the week prior and even thought about giving him a call.

“My mama and I had just talked about it the day before,” Price said. “I said, ‘Don’t worry we will hear from him tomorrow.’ Then we found out.”

Lt. Owens says Parrish was last seen with Ingram and Bishop Jr., who later left the home in Parrish’s pick-up truck. The truck was found abandoned days later in Eufaula.

The family is unsure how the two suspects knew Parrish.

“I don’t know if they were friends or what because we weren’t involved in his life other than what he did with us,” Price said.

Price says that her brother was a nice man and would do anything he needed to do to help his family and that he will be missed tremendously, but that pieces of him were left in his children and grandchildren.

Anyone with any information on the case is encouraged to call the Dothan Police Department at (334) 615-3000 or (334) 793-0215.

“I hope the proper justice is handed out once it is found,” Price said. “Of course, that’s going to bring him back, but closure makes things easier.”
