Dorset man killed in Austinburg Township crash
May 11—AUSTINBURG — A Dorset man died on Friday evening after sustaining injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Windsor-Mechanicsville Road, according to a press release from the Ohio state Highway Patrol.
The release indicates a car drive by Kimberly Davis, 47, of Geneva, was southbound on Windsor-Mechanicsville Road when a northbound motorcycle driven by Garner M. Cole, 33, of Dorset, traveled left of center and struck Davis's vehicle head on.
"The motorcycle operator was ejected and not wearing a helmet," the release states.
Cole was pronounced dead at the scene and Davis did not appear to suffer any injuries, according to OHP.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation and emergency workers from the Austinburg Fire Department assisted at the scene.
