Donald Trump Tweet-Trashes James Comey, Breaks Social Media Silence On Stormy Daniels

President Donald Trump tweet-attacked FBI Director James Comey’s sit down with Stephen Colbert this morning, insisting “Slippery James Comey” was “not fired because of the phony Russia investigation where, by the way, there was NO COLLUSION (except by the Dems)!”

That comes as a blow to the person who had who insisted Trump had the Russia investigation in mind when he sacked Comey – Donald Trump. After first saying he deferred to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein’s memo faulting Comey’s handling of the bureau’s Hillary Clinton email probe, Trump then told NBC News’ Lester Holt on-air he was going to fire Comey regardless of Rosenstein’s memo, explaining, “When I decided to do it I said to myself, ‘You know, This Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up thing'” by Democrats, as an excuse “for the election they should have won.”

Trump also told Russian officials he’d invited to the Oval Office the day after he fired Comey, “I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job…I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off,” the New York Times reported back then, citing a White House document summarizing the meeting.

On Tuesday night’s Late Show, Colbert asked Comey if he was surprised Trump fired him as he was heading the Russia probe, given that “mob bosses” don’t like being investigated.

Trump, who appears to have watched a lot of TV down in Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday, also made news this morning breaking his social media silence about porn Star Stormy Daniels, who claims she had a consensual affair with Trump more than a decade ago. On Tuesday’s The View, Stormy and her lawyer Michael Avenatti unveiled a forensic sketch of a man she claims threatened her in a Vegas parking lot several years ago, telling her to forget her Trump claims, lest something bad happen to her.

“A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!” Trump tweeted, breaking his social media silence on the seedy story that has been tearing up the TV turf for weeks now. Avenatti has already tweeted his thanks to Trump for taking the bait, crowing, “In my experience, there is nothing better in litigation than having a completely unhinged, undisciplined opponent who is prone to shooting himself in the foot. Always leads to BIGLY problems…like new claims (i.e. defamation). LOL #xmas #hanukkah #basta.”

And, less than 12 hours after the White House stated the Trump administration does not comment on the CIA director’s travel, Trump tweeted about the CIA director’s travel, confirming Mike Pompeo “met with Kim Jong Un in North Korea last week.” Trump tweet-beamed that the “meeting went very smoothly an a good relationship was formed,” adding, “Details of Summit are being worked out now. Denuclearization will be a great thing for World, but also for North Korea!”
