Donald Trump is totally right, we need more 'Law & Order'
During Monday night's presidential debate, there was a lot of "law and order" talk from Donald Trump. He wasn't, sadly, talking about the successful crime drama. Or was he?
The Republican presidential candidate referred to himself as the "law and order" guy a bunch of times, harking back to the days of Reagan and Nixon. Either that, or he just really, really loves Law & Order, in which case, hey, he's only human.

Although not according to Warren Leight, ex-showrunner for Law & Order: SVU, a.k.a the greatest gift to TV in the late '90s. If you ask him, Donald Trump is a "human virus."
stop fucking talking about Law & Order, you human virus

Similarly, ex-writer for Law & Order David Slack was displeased to learn of Trump's apparent fandom, suggesting that he'd only appear on the show to portray some kind of rich psychopath.
I wrote Law & Order. The only role Donald Trump could have in Law & Order is as a rich bastard suspected of killing his wife.

Strong words from the Law & Order crew. But many other Twitter users were delighted to see Trump wear his passion for the long-running show so enthusiastically on his sleeve.

everything trump knows about law and order is clearly just from watching law and order

And then there was Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's take.
The fact that Trump's answer to a question about racial injustice is just "we need law and order" pretty much says it all. #debatenight
