Hours after an EgyptAir flight disappeared from radar, Donald Trump speculated on Thursday that terrorism was behind the plane going missing over the Mediterranean.

“Looks like yet another terrorist attack,” the presumptive Republican presidential nominee wrote on Twitter.

The EgyptAir passenger jet with 66 people on board suddenly went missing over the Mediterranean Sea. Egypt’s aviation minister, Sharif Fathy, said in a Thursday morning press conference that a terror attack or a technical problem could not be ruled out.

He also said he was “choosing his words carefully” as he relayed information to the media.

“We have no other information other than there is a missing plane,” Fathy said. “There are many possible reasons for this situation,” he said. “What’s certain is that something has happened. I will not use the term ‘crash’ until I find wreckage.”

Trump’s tweet is reminiscent of his previous comments regarding the supposed “hate” in Islam when discussing terrorism.

Later in the day, after authorities indicated that a bomb may have brought down the EgyptAir flight, Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton weighed in on the incident.

“It does appear that it was an act of terrorism,” Clinton said during a CNN interview. “Exactly how, of course, the investigation will have to determine. But it once again shines a very bright light on the threats that we face from organized terror groups — ISIS, of course, but then there are other networks of terrorists that have to be hunted down and defeated.”

Clinton said Trump’s propensity for provocation is “dangerous” and makes the task to defeat terrorism more difficult.

“When you run for president of the United States, the entire world is listening and watching,” she said. “When he says bar all Muslims from coming to the United States, that sends a signal to a majority of Muslim nations, many of whom we have to work with to defeat terrorism, some of whom are already among our strongest allies in this fight — it sends a message of disrespect.”

Such rhetoric, Clinton added, makes Trump unqualified to be president.
