Donald Trump Praises Newt Gingrich For Telling Megyn Kelly She’s Fascinated With Sex

Donald Trump gave a big public “atta boy” to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich this morning for telling Fox News Channel star Megyn Kelly she’s obsessed with sex on her show last night.

“Congratulations, Newt. Last night, that was an amazing interview! That was amazing,” Trump beamed, as he took a break from campaigning to officially unveil his Trump hotel in downtown Washington D.C. “We don’t play games, Newt, right? We don’t play games,” Trump crowed, pointing at Gingrich, triggering TV news network talk as to why Trump is so obsessed with the Fox News Channel star, with whom he has tangled in the election cycle.

The previous night, Gingrich dismissed Kelly, on air, as being “fascinated with sex,” over her reporting on the leaked Access Hollywood tape and various women’s allegations of groping by GOP nominee Trump. Kelly, in turn, told Gingrich to go work on “your anger issues.” Media outlets dove in on the fun as it unfolded, leaving network reps wrangling their exuberance. Live TV is great.

Speaking thereof, TV news outlets on hand to cover this morning’s ribbon cutting gobbled up Trump’s decision to step on his hotel-plugging ceremony with his Gingrich back slap, guaranteeing Kelly’s flap survives today’s news cycle. Already political pundits are comparing it to that time Trump stepped on his highfalutin Gettysburg Address with the announcement he planned to sue all of the women who have claimed he groped them over the years. About 10 women came forward after Washington Post released that 2005 Access Hollywood tape in which he’s heard boasting to Billy Bush he is so famous he can grope women with impunity.
