Donald Trump Jr. DMed a Model While He Was Married

Donald Trump Jr. and his wife Vanessa filed for divorce on March 15, and one woman on Twitter was definitely not surprised by this news. Melissa Stetten tweeted out evidence of an encounter she had on social media with Trump Jr. in November 2011, only a few weeks after Vanessa had given birth to their third child.

The former model shared a screenshot of a DM from Instagram, writing, "Surprised his marriage didn’t work out since he was sending me DMs a month after his wife gave birth. (I tweeted a joke about pulling a muscle changing a tampon and he replied asking if I smelled bacon? Cool joke)"

Back in 2011, she tweeted a joke about pulling a muscle while removing a tampon, and Trump Jr. DMed her asking if she smelled bacon. Stetten told Peoplethat she had “no idea” what he meant by the bacon reference. A spokesperson for Trump Jr. provided a screenshot to Peoplethat she said proves the interaction was a joke.

Stetten didn't know Trump Jr. before he reached out to her on Twitter, she said. “He just started following me so I followed back. He would favorite my tweets and occasionally reply. I always thought of the Trumps as idiots so it was entertaining to see his failed attempts at hitting on me.”

That DM wasn't the only interaction they had on social media during this time. At one point, she tweeted at Trump Jr., saying “@DonaldJTrumpJr soaking my body in bacon today,” and then he replied via Twitter, “Now you’re just toying w my emotions. Why don’t women come up w bacon perfume? Seems so much better than that channel [sic] crap” and then he later tweeted "Stop that!!! I am a happily married man."

"His dad is president why hasn’t he deleted these tweets? #bacon" Stetten wrote in one of the tweets. Great question, honestly!
