Donald Trump’s Acceptance Speech Draws Ire From Hollywood

Donald Trump closed the Republican National Convention by accepting the GOP presidential nomination and delivering a speech promising safety and security.

He also denounced Hillary Clinton, particularly her foreign policy, saying his opponent left a legacy of “death, destruction, terrorism and weakness.”

Celebrities flooded Twitter following his speech, calling out his lack of clear policy and overall rage.

“Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus said, “Stop talking at us…no you don’t love us!”

They also questioned his knowledge about his understanding of the Middle East.

Others, like Elizabeth Banks and Mary Lambery called out Trump’s rhetoric, labeling it as hateful and fear-mongering.

They also called out his hypocrisy, using Trump’s own quotes against him.

Meanwhile, others expressed general confusion.

Others were much more critical, led by longtime Trump enemy Rosie O’Donnell, who called him the voice of “white, racist, sexist Americans.”

However, Trump did have his celebrity supporters.
