Today, First Lady Melania Trump walked to her plane at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland wearing a jacket that said "I DON'T REALLY CARE, DO U?" She was on her way to visit immigrant children stuck at the border, and the jacket, to say the least, caused a controversy on the internet.

Her husband Donald chimed in to give his take, and despite her communications director saying the jacket was completely meaningless, POTUS sent a different message.

He tweeted, "'I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?' written on the back of Melania’s jacket, refers to the Fake News Media. Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!"

Again, this completely undercuts what her communications director said earlier. Stephanie Grisham tweeted that it was "just a jacket" and she hoped the media didn't focus on this.

"Today’s visit w the children in Texas impacted @flotus greatly. If media would spend their time & energy on her actions & efforts to help kids - rather than speculate & focus on her wardrobe - we could get so much accomplished on behalf of children. #SheCares #ItsJustAJacket" she wrote.

And, to make matters even more interesting, Melania's stylist Hervé Pierre told Women's Wear Daily he had never seen the jacket before, but declined to comment any further.

Melania went to McAllen, Texas to visit a children's immigration detention center. Nearly 2,000 children have been taken away from their families at the Mexican border per one of her husband's policies. Yesterday, he signed an executive order to stop the family separation, but it's unclear what will happen to the hundreds of children who are already away from their parents.

A White House correspondent said Melania told a group of detained children "good luck" as she left their shelter.
