FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter, Victory Boyd, will be a special guest with Lauren Daigle at the Save Mart Center in Fresno on April 19.

Victory Boyd is from Detroit, Michigan, and started her professional career as a singer-songwriter when she was four years old. Boyd says the best way she can describe her music is that she leads people on a journey to victory.

“I am always looking on how to overcome my life, then I figure out how then I put it into my music,” said Boyd. “My music kind of has that theme of trials and the battles, but it also has the glory and the triumph and the victory.”

She storytells her music through the genres of jazz, gospel, soul and folk. Boyd will be a guest of Lauren Daigle on what’s called The Kaleidoscope Tour, which will stop in Fresno at the Save Mart Center on April 19, and will be performing songs from her album “Glory Hour.”

Boyd says this is her first time doing an arena tour, performing in front of over 20,000 people. It will also be her first time in Fresno.

“I am excited,” Boyd said. “I don’t take it lightly in what I do and at the level that I get to do it at.”

Boyd reveals that the two singers touring together enjoy each other’s fellowship. She says every so often she needs a reminder as to who he is to overcome victory as there would be times in her life when things would weigh her down, which would cause her to want to give up. However, she says her faith is what helps her to continue to find her victory.

“No matter how cloudy the clouds get in life, just understand that the clouds are temporary and the sunlight is eternal,” said Boyd.
