Dominican Association of New London holds event Friday with State Rep. Nolan

Oct. 27—NEW LONDON — State Rep. Anthony Nolan, D-New London and the Dominican Association of New London will hold a community event on Friday in which residents can share pizza and their thoughts with him.

The 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. event at the Dominican Association office at 60 Jay St. will also have activities for children.

Nolan is expected to talk to constituents about the importance of voting, regardless of who they vote for.

Juan Castillo, president of the association, said the association is not politically affiliated and is open to everyone in the community.

The Dominican Association is also working to provide free transportation to the city's polling stations on Nov. 8. Castillo said it is looking for licensed drivers interested in volunteering to driver voters. Anyone interested in volunteering can call Castillo at 860-389-0904.
