Presenting our Monday’s live Miami Dolphins practice blog:

After missing the first week of training camp with a soft issue injury in his lower body, DeVante Parker was activated from the physically unable to perform list. He was dressed in uniform and ready to practice.

Will Fuller (minor foot issue) and Preston Williams (November foot surgery) remain out...

Williams, already on the PUP list, also was placed on the COVID-19 list. Williams has been wearing a mask in recent days.

Xavien Howard had a setback with his ankle and is not practicing Monday, Brian Flores said. He stood on the sideline watching practice. During one part of practice, fans chanted “We love Howard!”

Elandon Roberts, on PUP, stood talking to a referee...

Jaelan Phillips is working on the bicycle as he works his way back from a lower-body issue that Flores said is more day to day than week to week.. Phillips, who was injured during Friday’s practice, wore a compression sleeve on his leg on Satuday but not Monday.

With tight ends Mike Gesicki and Cethan Carter and Adam Shaheen on the COVID-19 list, the Dolphins signed tight ends Sal Cannella and Kalif Jackson, neither of whom has appeared in an NFL game.

Cannella caught 25 passes for 330 yards in three years at Auburn (2017-19). Jackson played in nine games for the Gators in 2016-17 and then caught nine games in two years at Grambling State...

George Godsey, who reportedlty has COVID-19, was the only assistant coach not present....

Tua Tagovailoa had another good day. The imrpovement is real, folks, though it’s important to note that practices aren’t in pads and the defense isn’t doing any exotic blitzes.

Tua threw TDs to Myles Gaskin and Albert Wilson in red zone drills and several quick strikes down the middle of the field, including another 20-yard throw to Albert Wilson and then a second to Wilson, who continues to look great...

Tua delivered a nice pass on the sideline to rookie tight end Hunter Long, who made a nice catch.. (But one of the other healthy tight ends, Chris Myrarick, had a drop..)..

In goal-line drills, Tagovailoa hit Mack Hollins for a TD, beating Igbinoghene, and then dumped off to Jaylen Waddle for a nine yard TD pass, the last five coming in the end zone...

Then Jacoby Brissett hit Robert Foster for a TD in red-zone drills, beating Trill Williams, and then hit Lynn Bowden for a TD in those same drills inside the 10 yard line, beating Terrell Bonds. And Brissett then hit Allen Hurns for a third TD in those drills, beating Williams again.. (But Williams rebounded later; see below)..

Running back Salvon Ahmed limped off the field after making a catch and then spent part of practice on the exercise bicycle before going inside the facility....

Liam Eichenberg played left guard for a second practice in a row after spending the entire offseason program and first few days of camp at right tackle. There are mixed views internally about where he would be better. He was a left tackle at Notre Dame...

Jesse Davis remained at right tackle, with Austin Jackson at left tackle, Michael Deiter at center with the first time for the third day in a row and Rob Hunt at right guard...

With Gesicki and Shaheen out, Hunter Long started at tight end ahead of Durham Smythe. Jaylen Waddle, Albert Wilson and Mack Hollins started at receiver....

Christian Wilkins returned to the first group at defensive line; Zach Sieler had started Saturday’s practice.

The other starters: Emmanuel Ogbah and Raekwon Davis on the line; Jerome Baker, Benardrick McKinney and Andrew Van Ginkel at linebacker; Noah Igbinoghene, Nik Needham at boundary corner (Byron Jones was given a rest period); Justin Coleman at slot corner; Eric Rowe and Jason McCourty at safety....

Michael Palardy had a good day punting...

Cornerback Terrell Bonds had a nice pass breakup in 7 on 7s before being beaten for the red zone TD....

Also in 7 on 7s, Clayton Fejedelem intercepted Jacoby Brissett and returned it for a touchdown after Lynn Bowden Jr. tried to catch the pass....

Receiver Malcolm Perry, who has had a quiet camp, made a nice long catch from Reid Sinnett. Perry has had two good days in a row...

Lynn Bowden, who opened camp with several quiet days, made a nice catch down the middle...

Rookie fullback/tight end/H-back Carl Tucker had a Brissett pass bounce out of his hands and Syracuse rookie Williams intercepted it...

Coleman made a nice pass breakup on a pass thrown to Waddle on the sideline...

Running back Jordan Scarlett dropped a pass...

Andrew Van Ginkel had a sack and got good pressure on Tua on another play. Adam Butler also was active rushing the quarterback....

McCourty had a nice pass breakup in the corner of the end zone on a Tagovailoa throw...

Second team defense included Sieler and John Jenkins and Jason Strowbridge on the line; Duke Riley and Brennan Scarlett and Vince Biegel at linebacker; Jevon Holland and Clayton Fejedelem at safety; and Terrell Bonds, Trill Willams and Jamal Perry at cornerback (with the second-team corners filling in for Jones and Howard on the first team)...

Also working his way in at second-team cornerback was veteran Cre’Von LeBlanc, who drew a pass interference penalty in the end zone on Robert Foster...

Emmanuel Ogbah got good pressure on the quarterback. This is a recording...

Former UNLV quarterback Kai Locksley had a long catch from Sinnett during a half speed drill...

Guard Solomon Kindley, a 13-game starter last year who opened camp as the starting left guard, was working with the second and third team...

Center Matt Skura and guard Durval Quieroz Neto and tackle Timon Paris also got second team work. Allen Hurns and Robert Foster were the second team receivers at times.
