DOLA awards affordable housing units and down payment assistance

(COLORADO) — The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) voted, approved, and awarded several million through the Division of Housing’s State Housing Board.

To address the needs of an ever-changing population, DOLA awarded $16,050,000 for 465 additional affordable housing units and $2,388,000 in down payment assistance to an estimated 80 households across the state.

Affordable Housing and Homeownership Awards were given to:

  • Overlook at Uplands in Westminster: $3 million, adding 247 units.

  • The Edge Phase 3 Apartments in Northern Colorado: $1.1 million, adding 22 units.

  • Brigit’s Village in Frederick: $3 million, adding 40 units.

  • Sawmill Meadow Villas in South Fork: $3 million, adding 10 units.

  • Capitol City Mobile Park in Denver: $2.5 million, adding 80 units.

Down Payment Assistance Awards:

  • Elevation Community Land Trust – Scattered Sites: $888,000, 40 households.

  • City and County of Broomfield: $1.5 million, 40 households.
