Meet ZIB: a 1-year-old sweet border collie whose early life was filled with neglect. At an animal shelter in Oklahoma he suffered from a painful skin disease and a sunburn. The condition was so bad that he couldn’t even be touched or pet. Thankfully, he was nursed back to health by the Texas Border Collie Rescue & Rehab. This is when Curtis Hartsell came across his profile. Hartsell immediately applied to adopt ZIB and anxiously waited for updates. After several interviews and a home visit, Hartsell was approved. When Hartsell arrived at ZIB’s foster house, the two shared a special moment.
