Dog show for rescues coming to Jefferson Parish
JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A new, rescue-exclusive dog show is trotting down to Jefferson Parish this April.
According to the Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Department, the event hosts dogs from local rescues to compete for the Best Rescue in Show title.

Dog lovers can head to the Jefferson Playground Gym at 4100 South Drive on April 13 at 10 a.m. to watch the show and vote for the top dog.
At the event, organizers said attendees can vote for their favorite dog in categories including best costume, best underbite, best ears, best senior dog, best most mutty, best smile, best personality and best special needs.

Attendees can also enjoy a pre-show pet adoption meet and greet.
