Dog dead, 2 adults, 2 children displaced after south Las Vegas valley fire

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A dog is dead and two adults and two children were displaced after a south Las Vegas valley home fire.

On Saturday around 7:20 p.m., the Clark County Fire Department responded to a home in the 3300 block of Palio Avenue near Starr Avenue and Dean Martin Drive.

When fire crews arrived, they found “heavy fire” showing from the garage and the front door of the house.

During a search of the home, firefighters found a dog dead on the second floor, CCFD said.

The fire was knocked down in about 20 minutes and no injuries to firefighters or the residents were reported, according to CCFD.

The American Red Cross was requested to provide assistance to 2 adults and 2 children who were displaced.

A total of 32 personnel responded to the fire including five engines, one ladder truck, two rescues, two battalion chiefs, and two fire investigators.
