Dog adopted after spending over 1,000 days at Valley Animal Center
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier and Terrier mix has been adopted after spending over 1,000 days at Valley Animal Center in Fresno, shelter officials announced.
Valley Animal Center says Kilowatt was one of the longer-term animals, spending over 1,000 days at the shelter.
Shelter officials say that Kilowatt is bursting with love and energy for life and her journey sheds light on the challenges many pets experience when finding their perfect match.
Kilowatt encountered difficulties with anxiety when being left alone and had specific preferences when it came to her furry companions, shelter officials say.
She was initially entered into a foster-to-adopt situation to see if her new home would be a great fit.
However, shelter officials say she has been adopted and has found her forever home.
