Doctors spoiler: 'Forgive and Forget'
Emma is barely out of her car when Valerie pounces on her, full of speculation about the police turning up to take Daniel, Zara and Joe. A shocked Emma thinks they must be in protective custody. Mrs Tembe fills in the rest of the staff about the situation and asks for their complete discretion.
At the same time, Zara has the difficult task of explaining to Joe why they are being held in a hotel in police custody. Daniel is clearly struggling with being cooped up in a hotel room and Zara's attempts to see the positives just wind him up.
DI Tom Stanton arrives to explain that the situation escalated and he was no longer confident they could protect them at home. Daniel is horrified to learn of the attack on LaToya and worries about the safety of his daughter Izzie. Daniel is furious about the threat to his family's safety and takes his fury out on Tom. Later he turns on Zara – this is a hell of her making and he blames her for dragging him and Joe into it.
Meanwhile, Eve is in her kitchen preparing food and calls Al to ask why he is still at work when he should be at hers for a Christmas meal. He reminds her that they did that last week and she tries to cover her confusion by claiming to not have slept well. Al confides in Emma about his mother's forgetfulness.
Elsewhere, Heston discovers a student whose amazing ability to remember every detail of his life is actually a rare medical condition.
