According to a charging document, Gonzalez prescribed oxycodone to three patients in March 2023 without conducting physical exams or developing treatment plans.

She failed to assess the patients for drug dependence,. and continued to prescribe opioids despite being banned by two pharmacy chains, says a statement from the FBI.

It also claimed she falsified medical records to conceal unlawful prescriptions.

Gonzalez admitted guilt in October 2023 to three counts of unlawful distribution of controlled substances. She was sentenced April 16 in Camden federal court.

An April 17 court order granted a continuance to Lamprou, noting both sides "desire additional time to negotiate a plea bargain."

Attorneys for the doctors could not be reached for comment.
