A documentary on Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack at the Nova Music festival in Israel, titled We Will Dance Again, will be released on Paramount+ this fall. The film will be “told through the eyes of more than a dozen survivors, many of whom videotaped their experiences as the massacre unfolded,” including “footage captured by both the victims and Hamas,” a press release states.

The human cost of what happened on October 7th in Israel and the war in Gaza has been catastrophic. We can’t tell everyone’s story. This film is about innocent young people forced to fight for their survival,” said Susan Zirinsky, president of See It Now Studios, in a statement.

The project is directed by Yariv Mozer and produced by See It Now Studios with SIPUR, Bitachon 365 with MGM Television, and HSCC. The doc is also co-produced by BBC Storyville, which will air the film in the U.K., and Hot Channel 8, which will air it in Israel.

Between 3,000 and 4,000 attendees attended the open-air festival in Israel’s Negev Desert, about three miles from the Gaza border, which was timed to the end of Sukkot, a weeklong Jewish holiday. Hamas militants stormed the festival and Israeli towns near the blockaded Gaza strip in a surprise attack.

The war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas is entering its eighth month since the Hamas attack in October led to 247 Israeli hostages and 1,143 deaths. Since then, more than 35,000 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have died as Israel mounted a counteroffensive throughout the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian health authorities.
