Divorce lawyer hired to represent Scrivner

A lawyer has been hired to represent Zack Scrivner in his divorce case in Kern County Superior Court.

Court records show Bakersfield lawyer Robert Francis Carbone has been retained on behalf of the Kern County supervisor who has been out of public sight since being accused in April of sexually assaulting one of his children at the family's home in Tehachapi.

Scrivner's wife of 18 years, Christina Scrivner, was granted sole custody of the couple's four children under a temporary restraining order granted May 3. She filed for divorce from him in March.

Carbone could not be reached for comment late Monday afternoon.
