Dive team searches for man who disappeared in Lucky Peak Lake, drowning suspected

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported drowning at Lucky Peak Lake on Sunday afternoon.

Marine deputies received a call at about 5 p.m. that a man on a boat went into the water near Turner Gulch without a life jacket and did not resurface, according to a social media post from the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office and the Boise Fire Department responded and began a search for the man. They had not found him as of 6:41 p.m., according to the post.

The sheriff’s dive team plans to continue looking for him.

Lucky Peak Lake, which is part of Lucky Peak State Park and is located just southeast of Boise, was the scene of several drownings last summer.
