District Attorney Stacey Jackson is ‘very much still living’ after rumors of death spread
Stacey Jackson, District Attorney for the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, is still alive after rumors of his death have spread, according to a post by the DA’s Facebook page.
The post reads as follows:
“Good morning! A terrible rumor has spread that DA Stacey Jackson has passed away. This is a false story!!! Please do not believe these lies. Mr. Jackson has been under medical care, but he is very much still living. Please be respectful of Mr. Jackson, his office, and his family. Do not spread these rumors.”
Jackson filed for medical leave in November 2023 for an undisclosed illness, according to Ledger-Enquirer reporting.
Jackson was sworn in as District Attorney in May 2022 after being appointed by Governor Brian Kemp. Jackson became DA after former DA Mark Jones resigned after pleading guilty to misconduct in office.
