Disney Princess — The Concert to bring royal magic to Salt Lake City March 30
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Disney Princess — The Concert tour is on its way to be “Part of Your World” in Salt Lake City and bring the magic of Disney to life on Saturday, March 30 at the Eccles Theater.
Syndee Winters is one of the stars of the show (and has previously played Nala in Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway). She said it’s an exciting celebration of the music many have come to know and love.

“This concert represents a multi-generation catalog of hits — hit after hit after hit, all sung by Broadway-level stars,” she said. “…You’re going to get the powerhouse voices with the powerhouse songs.”
Other members of the cast are Hiba Elchikhe, who starred as Jasmine in the Aladdin musical, Alyssa Fox who played Elsa in Frozen on Broadway, and Adam J. Levy who was most recently seen on Broadway in Moulin Rouge.
The 39-date tour started early in March and will continue through April. It’s the second time the show has come to Utah.
Some fan favorites the crowd can expect are “Let It Go”, “A Whole New World, “Colors of the Wind” and “How Far I’ll Go.”
Benjamin Rauhala, the music director and one of the co-creators of the concert, said the audience will get to enjoy all the classics, as well as exciting new arrangements.
“[They’ll] sing these songs sometimes the ways you love them from the movies, and sometimes we’ve reinvented them and you’ll hear them in harmony or you’ll hear them in a medley,” he said. “Also, on this new tour, we get to celebrate some of the heroes — the Aladdins, the Quasimodos, the Hercules, and some of the villains — The Ursulas, the Jafars,” he said. “I got to work on Disney’s Wish, and so we get a little Asha in there…It’s all very exciting.”

Rauhala shared that this show is made with all ages in mind, from those who grew up singing along to the songs on VHS, to young children who love these princesses.
In addition to the music, Winters said there will be incredible visuals and theatrical effects, such as a 40-foot LED screen featuring animations that accompany each song.
“My favorite thing is in every city to see what the favorite princess is of the day…It’s so fun to get to the different songs and see what the reaction is because it’s different in every place,” Rauhala said.
Fans are invited to dress up in their best “royal attire” as they join these stars for the show. To learn more and purchase tickets, visit the Eccles Theater website.
