A Discovery of Witches favourite Teresa Palmer has said she would "jump on board" and return to the role in a heartbeat.

Palmer starred as witch Diana Bishop on the series, based on Deborah Harkness' bestselling books, playing the character for three seasons until its 2022 finale.

Catching up with Digital Spy for an exclusive chat recently – promoting her new horror flick The Twin – Palmer said she's "definitely open" to revisiting that universe, echoing Steven Cree's comments back in January.

"I would be the first to jump on board. But I also really feel like it came to such a beautiful end, and that chapter feels closed," she told us. "But, you know, I'm very open."

Moving on to the bittersweet nature of A Discovery of Witches coming to an end, the actress went on to say: "I carry Diana and Matthew's story with me all the time. I'm often, you know, on the street, and I'll meet someone who loved the series, and they were profoundly impacted by the story.

"So I get to have these really beautiful reminders of what we were able to create over the four-and-a-half years that we worked on the show.

"So it is bittersweet. But I think the story came to such an organic ending that I feel really happy with where we've gone, and how it all wrapped up," explained Palmer.

"We were in the safe hands of our queen, Deborah Harkness, who helped guide the show, and made sure that it ended in a way that felt really satisfying.

"But I think I was ready to be done with her story because I couldn't think of what else needed to be explored. Having said that, I'm really open if one day someone comes to us and says, 'It's crazy. Can you believe it? We're going to go again.'"

Adelle Leonce has also recently spoken to Digital Spy about the idea of a spin-off for her character Phoebe Taylor and love interest Marcus.

The Twin is available to watch now on Shudder. A Discovery of Witches aired on Sky Max and NOW in the UK, and AMC+ in the US.
