Discovery posters and titles fuel Ash Tyler fan theory
The new Star Trek: Discovery posters and episode titles have arrived – and they're really fuelling the big fan theory that Ash Tyler is actually a Klingon.
The theory, which started out on Reddit, suggests that the human character of Ash Tyler, played by Shazad Latif, isn't really human at all, but actually a Klingon in disguise.

And not just any Klingon – the one named Voq, who is officially played by the otherwise unheard-of actor Javid Iqbal.
In the new character posters, we get a look at Michael, Captain Lorca, Saru and Voq – but Ash is nowhere to be seen. Or IS he there in plain sight? (As Voq, in case you're not following.)
The titles for episodes 10 through 15 could also confirm the theory that Ash is actually Voq, with episode 11 titled 'The Wolf Inside' – which could allude to Ash's secret identity.

Previously, Den of Geek put the fan theory to Ash actor Shazad Latif bluntly, asking him: "Are you a Klingon?"
The diplomatic actor replied: "There are crazy fan theories which is... the power of Star Trek fandom. They're great detectives and some things they get right and some they get wrong."
Star Trek: Discovery will return on CBS in the US and Netflix in the UK in January.
