Direct daily flight service now available between Tijuana, Phoenix

SAN DIEGO (Border Report) — Direct flight service between Tijuana and Phoenix is now available, according to Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda.

While complete details have not been announced, she said there will be one flight per day on American Airlines.

According to the airline’s website, the flight out of Tijuana departs daily at 12:22 p.m. and lands in Phoenix at 2:42 p.m. With the time change, it’s a one-hour and 20-minute flight.

Return service leaves Phoenix at 11:15 a.m. and is scheduled to arrive in Tijuana at 11:42 a.m.

“This is one of the most important flights to a city in the United States, and it’s a direct flight,” said Governor Ávila Olmeda. “With connections, this will generate more destinations to and from Tijuana, and it’s something to celebrate.”
