Did you know... where this photo was taken? This was the main gym in the high school on 10th Street. There was also a smaller girls' gym in the original part of the building from 1910. Lots of events took place in this gym. Ball games and gym classes, school plays, and graduations. A large canvas was rolled on the floor for many activities that used the stage. I remember large drawers that pulled out from below the stage with chairs when the floor was covered. 1960 was the last graduation in this building. I graduated in 1962 and spent 2 of my high school years in this building and my last 2 years in the new high school that is today our jr high school.
