Did Johnny Depp Change His ‘Slim’ Amber Heard Knuckle Tattoo to ‘Scum’?

While Johnny Depp has been out promoting his band Hollywood Vampires, fans couldn’t help but notice something different about his tattoos.

The 53-year-old star looks to have changed the tattoo across the knuckles on his right hand from “slim” to “scum.”

“Slim” was his estranged wife Amber Heard’s nickname in happier times. The pair are currently embroiled in a contentious divorce battle.

Depp also appears to have blackened out the tattoo he had of Heard on his right bicep.

This isn’t the first time Depp has had to rework a tat he’s gotten in the name of love. In one of the most famous tattoo rewrites of all time, Depp only had to delete a couple of letters to change “Winona Forever” — which he inked on his shoulder during his three-year engagement to fellow actress Winona Ryder in the early ‘90s — to “Wino Forever.” That tribute to alcohol still remains today.

As for his latest alteration, requests for comment from Depp’s rep were not returned on Saturday.

Heard, 30, filed a domestic violence restraining order against Depp in May and has accused him of allegedly abusing her.

In a response to Heard’s allegations, Depp’s lawyers claimed in court documents that the actress was “attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.

After rocking out in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Friday night, he will continue his holiday weekend playing more shows with the band, which also includes Alice Cooper and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, up the east coast.

Earlier this week Depp enjoyed dinner with his two children – daughter Lily-Rose, 17, and son Jack, 14 – and a source tells PEOPLE he “looked very good” and “much healthier.”
