DiBella’s Subs opens third central Ohio eatery

WORTHINGTON, Ohio (WCMH) — DiBella’s Subs, a more than 100-year-old shop based in New York known for submarine sandwiches and freshly baked bread, has opened a third central Ohio eatery.

The chain began welcoming guests to its new location at 7105 N. High St. at Worthington Gateway on March 6. The new location marks DiBella’s third Columbus-area location with other eateries on Olentangy River Road and in Dublin near the Mall at Tuttle Crossing, with another restaurant in New Albany on the way.

“Columbus has been an incredible city for DiBella’s as we share the love of authentic Italian-style subs across the Midwest,” said AJ Shear, DiBella’s director of marketing.

The new eatery is one of several new restaurants as part of Worthington Gateway, including Lion Cub’s Cookies’ second central Ohio storefront that opened in February. Maple Street Biscuit Co., a breakfast and brunch spot featured on the Food Network, opened in the mixed-use development last year.

DiBella’s shop in Worthington also marks the chain’s 15th Ohio restaurant and 43rd across four other states, Connecticut, Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. The brand’s original location in Rochester opened in 1918 as a small corner grocery store.

The Worthington location is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
