UPDATE (11:28 a.m.): Caution led to police presence this morning at a Gulf Shores bank, but News 5 has learned it was a false alarm.

What some people thought of as a “suspicious package” at South State Bank turned out to be nothing serious, according to authorities.

Gulf Shores Police determined that the package was just a box of magazines.

The bank was not expecting the shipment, prompting concern.
