Destin restaurant catches fire Wednesday morning

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A restaurant in Destin caught fire early Wednesday morning, causing lanes of Harbor Boulevard to be closed for an extended period, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

According to an OCSO Facebook post, multiple agencies were called to a fire at Blue Mahoe this morning.

Because of the fire, all lanes of Harbor Boulevard, between Palmetto Street and Melvin Street, were closed until around 8:30 a.m.

Deputies said no one was in the building when the fire started.

The fire marshal is working to investigate the incident.

Instagram now lets teens limit interactions to their ‘Close Friends’ group to combat harassment
In a bid to combat harassment on its platform, Instagram said on Thursday it is expanding the scope of its "Limits" tool specifically for teenagers that would let them restrict unwanted interactions with people. Once they turn the feature on, teens will only be able to see comments, messages, story replies, tags, and mentions from their "Close Friends" group, and interactions from other accounts will be muted. The company originally debuted the Limits feature as a test in 2021 after English footballers Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho were harassed online following the English team's loss to Italy in the Euro 2020 finals.

After two years of preparation and four delays over the past several months due to technical glitches, Indian space startup Agnikul has successfully launched its first sub-orbital test vehicle, powered by its unique 3D-printed rocket engines, space agency Indian Space Research Organisation said Thursday. Called Agnibaan SOrTeD (Sub-Orbital Technology Demonstrator), the single-stage launch vehicle lifted off Thursday morning local time from the startup's mobile launchpad at the Satish Dhawan Space Center on South India's Sriharikota island.
