Destin restaurant catches fire Wednesday morning

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A restaurant in Destin caught fire early Wednesday morning, causing lanes of Harbor Boulevard to be closed for an extended period, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

According to an OCSO Facebook post, multiple agencies were called to a fire at Blue Mahoe this morning.

Because of the fire, all lanes of Harbor Boulevard, between Palmetto Street and Melvin Street, were closed until around 8:30 a.m.

Deputies said no one was in the building when the fire started.

The fire marshal is working to investigate the incident.
