Driver hospitalized after box truck overturns in Preble County

The driver of a box truck was hospitalized with minor injuries after it overturned in Preble County on Monday, according to Preble County Sheriff’s Office Major Brad Moore.

Just before noon, Preble County Sheriff’s deputies and medics were dispatched to the area of Interstate 70 and U.S. Route 127 on reports that a box truck overturned.

A 35-year-old man was driving the box truck at the time of the crash, according to the sheriff’s office call for service log.

A Preble County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher said the crash happened on the ramp to I-70 EB from Route 127.

Deputies believe the driver took the curve too fast, causing the truck to overturn, Moore said.

The box truck was the only vehicle involved in this crash.
