Deputies: Driver ejected in Holland Twp. crash

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say two people were seriously injured Thursday in a crash in Holland Township.

It happened around 4:15 p.m. on 120th Avenue near Willow Wood North, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say a 21-year-old Holland man was heading south on 120th Avenue in a Jeep when he crossed the center line, hitting a northbound pickup truck driven by a 46-year-old Holland man.

The 21-year-old man was ejected from the Jeep, according to the sheriff’s office. Both drivers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The 46-year-old was wearing a seatbelt, while the 21-year-old was not, deputies say.

The road was temporarily closed for cleanup. Deputies continue to investigate.
