DENVER (KDVR) — Denver will have a very nice day as highs reach into the lower 80s under mostly sunny skies. Get outside while you can because cooler air and possibly some rain is on the way.

Weather today: Above average temps, mostly sunny

More sunshine is on the way for the state along with much warmer and drier conditions. Highs Sunday will top out in the lower 80s with winds out of the southwest anywhere from 10 to 20 mph and gusts up to 25 mph.

Weather tonight: Partly cloudy and comfy

Winds will shift out of the northwest Sunday evening as overnight low temperatures drop into the upper 40s and lower 50s. We could be seeing some gusts upwards of 20 mph.

Looking ahead: Cooler with shower chances

Monday will start off with sunshine, but clouds will increase through the afternoon ahead of an isolated storm chance or two, though it increasingly looks like most of us will remain dry. The chance for storms will increase on Tuesday alongside cooler temperatures, and some of the storms could bring heavy downpours, gusty winds and thunder and lightning.

Sunshine will return to the forecast by the end of the week and will help to boost high temperatures to the mid-70s.
