Denver weather: Pinpoint Weather Alert Day for snow leading to tough travel

DENVER (KDVR) —   Denver’s weather will feature a wintry mix transitioning to snowfall Friday night into Saturday. A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day has been issued for Friday through Saturday morning for accumulating snow leading to slick travel conditions.

Winter weather advisories remain in effect until 9 a.m. The Denver metro will pick up 3-6 inches of snowfall, while the Northern Front Range Foothills, and the Southern Front Range Foothills will pick up closer to 4-10 inches of snowfall. Fresh snow will make travel difficult, so plan for extra drive time, or postpone travel plans if possible.
