Denver weather: Nice holiday weekend in store, some isolated storms Saturday
DENVER (KDVR) — Temperatures remain mild through the holiday weekend, but Denver could be seeing some rain/storm chances Saturday afternoon.
Isolated showers and storms are not out of the question for Denver, although most of the metro will remain dry. It will also be a touch breezy today with winds gusting up to 20 mph at times.
Weather today: Afternoon storms for some, mostly sunny
Denver will kick off the holiday weekend with plenty of sunshine in the first half of the day. High temperatures by the afternoon will max out in the upper 70s nearing 80 degrees.
Some clouds build in the afternoon ahead of a chance of showers and storms, although much of the area will stay dry.
Saturday will also be breezy in Denver with gusts up to 20 mph.
Weather tonight: Drying out with a few clouds
Some residual rain showers are possible across the eastern plains before midnight Saturday. It will dry out quickly after as lows sink into the upper 40s with partly cloudy and breezy conditions. Winds will gust as high as 20 mph.
Looking ahead: Drying out, return to the 80s
Sunday will be mainly sunny. High temperatures will be seasonal and climb to the mid-70s.
Memorial Day will be sunny and mild. High temperatures will climb to the upper 70s, which is just a few degrees above normal.
Warmer temperatures move in for the start of the next workweek, which will include early morning lows in the 50s and highs in the 80s.
Denver could see isolated storm chances by the middle of next week.
