Denver police seeking additional victims of sex assault suspect

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police arrested a 32-year-old man in connection to a sexual assault incident, and they believe there may be additional victims.

On March 7, officers with the Denver Police Department investigated a sexual assault incident that led to the arrest of Tyler Jordan Ried.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by FOX31, Ried is accused of assaulting women at two migrant shelter hotels on Tower Road in January.

The Denver District Attorney’s Office has filed the following charges against Ried:

  • Sexual assault – No consent

  • Felony Menacing

  • Four counts of indecent exposure – misdemeanor

  • Unlawful sexual contact – misdemeanor

Investigators believe there have been other incidents involving Reid. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of Ried is encouraged to call the Denver Police Sex Crimes Unit at 720-913-6040.

Denver police added, “There may be victims or witnesses who are reluctant to report information for various reasons, to include immigration status. The Denver Police Department shares that it does not check immigration status and there are options for witnesses to remain anonymous when reporting.”
