Denver police officer arrested on harassment charges, DPD said

DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Police Department announced Friday that one of its officers was arrested on harassment charges.

Officer Ramone Young was arrested Thursday night by the Aurora Police Department on two counts of domestic violence-related harassment, according to a release from DPD.

Weld County cold case could be compromised due to allegedly mishandled forensic data

Young, who has been with the department for 10 years, has been placed in a non-patrol assignment while his case goes through the judicial process, DPD said.

DPD said its administrative review will be conducted once the case is adjudicated.

The Aurora Police Department is investigating the case, which will be prosecuted by the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

DPD had no further comment, but FOX31 has reached out to police in Aurora for more details.
