Denver area man gets probation for selling Customs form signed by Michael Jackson

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Lincoln County man received probation after pleading guilty to selling a government-owned form signed by a celebrity.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Charlotte, Alan Nordman, 75, of Denver admitted in November 2023 that in April 2022 he unlawfully sold on eBay an official Customs and Border Protection form signed by late pop star Michael Jackson on his entry into the country.
His punishment is one year of probation, federal officials said Thursday.
The document, a customs declaration form which lists items a person brings with them into the country, sold for $795. The form is an official government record and therefore, belongs to the United States government, officials said.
According to court documents, Nordman worked for U.S. Customs and Border Protection at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York from 1984-2014.
