Denmark to provide Ukraine with $36 million in humanitarian aid
Denmark is set to deliver a $36 million humanitarian aid package to Ukraine, Danish Foreign Ministry announced on May 7.
The funds, equivalent to 250 million Danish kroner, will support the country's most vulnerable populations amid the ongoing Russian invasion.
"The humanitarian situation in Ukraine is grave," said Dan Jørgensen, Danish Minister for Development Cooperation.
"Millions are displaced, homes and hospitals have been destroyed, and essentials like water, heating, and electricity are in short supply."

The emergency aid will include food, medical supplies, water, and housing, targeting Ukrainians from areas most heavily impacted by the war.
The ministry said the package aims to help Ukrainians weather the next winter.
On Feb. 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Danish PM Mette Frederiksen signed an agreement in Lviv to support Ukraine across various security areas, including military capability, air defense, and maritime security.
Denmark also plans to transfer the first batch of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine this summer.
On April 27, Copenhagen announced plans to purchase $30 million worth of weapons from Ukrainian manufacturers for Ukraine's Armed Forces.
