City offices closed
Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases, the City of Deming offices at 309 S. Gold St. will be closed to the public until further notice.
Public services will resume as follows.
Payments may be made:

• By mail: 309 S. Gold, Deming, NM 88030 or P.O. Box 706, Deming, NM 88031
• The drop box located before the drive-thru under the first window; please only drop personal checks, money orders, and cashier checks in the drop box. Cash will not be accepted.
Photography club meets
The Deming Photography Club will meet at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, in the meeting room of the Marshall Memorial Library, located at 110 S. Diamond Avenue. Please wear your mask to enter the building, and have your identification ready to show. Also, bring ideas for what you would like to learn or present as well as places for field trips.
Don't forget to bring 5 to 7 photos you have taken that you would like to explain how you did it, or ask how to do it better/differently.
DAC gift boutique
December is the time for the annual Holiday Gift Boutique at the Deming Art Center, 100 S. Gold St. Come browse, shop, and find wonderful, unique gifts for family and friends this holiday season.
The Center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. The boutique will run from December 2-30, 2021.

Soil & water meeting
The Deming Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its regular monthly board meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at La Fonda Restaurant, 601 E. Pine St. The meeting will also be available via Zoom (http://us02web.zoom.us/j/5622929930).
Democratic Party meets
The Democratic Party of Luna County will hold its November meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Ruth Coleman Community Center in Columbus, NM.
The center is located at 520 N. Boundary Road.
Republican Party Meeting
The Luna County Republican Party meets at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 13 in the Republican Headquarters located at 112 E. Spruce St.
Guest speaker will be Luna County Sheriff Kelly Gannaway. The public is invited and encouraged to bring a friend.
Party meetings are held at 10 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month.
Knights Bingo games
Knights of Columbus Club Bingo is at 6 p.m. on Thursday at 1400 S. Ruby St. Doors open at 5 p.m.
Payouts range from $150-$300.
There is a concession stand on site, and please no outside food or drink.
UMW Christmas Bazaar
The United Methodist Women will host its annual Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 27, 1020 at the First United Methodist Church, 1021 S. Granite Street in Deming, NM.

P. E. O. Holiday Bazaar
Women Helping Women Reach for the Stars Through Scholarships will host the P.E.O. Holiday Bazaar from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at 3024 Eagle Drive SE in Luna County, NM.

County families program
Luna County's Strengthening Families Program is recruiting for parenting education and family skills. The program is open to all families with youth ages 10-17 (siblings are welcome) who are seeking to strengthen their family relationships.
The group meets from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday or Thursday for 10 total classes at the historic Luna County Courthouse basement located at 700 S. Silver St. Families can choose what day is best for them. Classes will begin Nov. 30 and Dec. 2.
