DeMar DeRozan put up 33 points to lead the Toronto Raptors to a close victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 99-93. Toronto (32-25) is now on a three-game winning streak.
DeRozan shot 12-25 from the field and 9-13 from the free throw line. Kyle Lowry also chipped in for Toronto, finishing with 13 points and 9 assists. Kyrie Irving had another quality performance for Cleveland in the loss, putting up 25 points on 10-22 shooting, including 1-5 from behind the arc. He also added 9 assists. Spencer Hawes added 15 points and 7 rebounds and Tristan Thompson finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds.
The Cavaliers posted an eFG% of just 43.5%, including 29.4% from 3-point range. This year, they are 4-12 when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Raptors are 5-2 when holding their opponents to such low percentages.
Cleveland (22-36) has now dropped their last three consecutive games.
