Dem Video Mocks Romney With Dancing Horse

In a new web video, Democrats are attacking Mitt Romney on his reluctance to release more of his tax returns and his family's involvement in an obscure horse-dancing sport.

The video, from the Democratic National Committee, asks “Do we really want a President who dances around the issues?” and shows clips of Romney giving various explanations on his tax returns and offshore investments.

In one instance, he’s shown at a Republican primary debate from earlier this year saying “I don’t know how many years I’ll release… I’ll release multiple years, I don’t know how many years.”

The ad then cuts to a rider on a dancing horse, accompanied by a soundtrack of circus-style music. The DNC claims the video is of Rafalca, a horse owned by Romney that will be competing in the Olympics later this month. Romney’s wife, Ann, competes in the little-known equestrian sport known as dressage.

Romney intends to release his tax returns from 2011. He has already released his 2010 returns, but many from both parties are now calling on Romney to release more.

In the same vein, the Obama campaign has a new web video out mocking Romney’s explanation on when he actually left Bain Capital, using a convoluted quote he gave defending himself and then getting what appear to be people on the street to read it aloud.
