Delta County Sheriff confirms cause of death for a missing Fruita woman
Samantha Bartolo, a 40-year-old mom of two from Fruita went missing in November 2023. She was last seen walking down H-75 road in Delta after her boyfriend David Bement and her argued. Bartolo's body was found by a sheep herder off the same road she was last seen on in February of this year. The coroner ruled Bartolo's death an accident due to drug intoxication and exposure to the cold weather. Although her death was ruled an accident, her death is still under investigation due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
