Delivery changes coming to Visalia Times-Delta: What to know

At Visalia Times-Delta/Tulare Advance Register, we strive to reach readers in a variety of ways.

Through our print publications, to websites, to apps to a growing list of social media platforms, our journalists are proud to put their work on display. We especially value the loyal readership and our connection with our paying subscribers.

Starting Tuesday, March 12, we are changing how we distribute the paper. Times-Delta is partnering with the U.S. Postal Service for the delivery of our publication. Each issue will be delivered by the postal service.

We are making this transition to ensure our newspaper delivery is consistent. A number of economic and workforce factors have created ongoing challenges with our newspaper delivery. Delivering the print editions through the USPS is the best way to guarantee our work gets into the hands of paid subscribers.

With this change, the Sunday edition will be delivered on Saturdays. Advertising inserts currently delivered on Sundays will be included and delivered to subscribers on Saturdays.

Starting the week of March 11, the paper will also be printed by a third-party printer in Freemont, California.

We know this shift will affect many of your morning routines since newspapers will arrive later. We appreciate your understanding and adapting to the change.

But if you need your local news with your morning coffee, we have several options for you.

If you enjoy reading in a newspaper format, the eNewspaper is available on your computer or mobile device. That electronic replica of the printed paper is available each morning and is full of bonus content not available in the printed product. With your subscription, you also have universal access to eNewspaper publications across our network, including USA TODAY, as well as unlimited access to the USA TODAY Crossword digital app and site.

Information is also always timely on our websites and our apps. Your subscription will continue to provide you full access to our websites, plus early morning newsletters delivered to your inbox. These emails will provide you with highlights so that you can jump right into these stories and enjoy the rest of the paper later in the day.

Times-Delta remains committed to local journalism.

We recently co-sponsored and provided coverage of the 25th Annual Tulare County Spelling Championship. This year, 101 spellers from grades four through eight competed for the opportunity to become the 2024 county spelling champion and advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Our sports reporter was there to cover Dinuba and Monache winning the Central Section basketball championships.

We will continue to do these kinds of stories and comprehensive reporting while maintaining important work on public accountability and the upcoming election.

If you have any questions about this change or need assistance accessing the eNewspaper, please contact customerservice at 1-800-844-2637.

Thank you for your support as we navigate this change.
